I
created a survey asking people to discuss their thoughts on a clothing brand
website. I chose House of CB website. This was founded by Conna Walker in 2000
and its target audience are women aged 18 to 35. In this survey, I noticed that
most people that showed interested in visiting the website were aged 18 and
over. Nearly everyone who filled out my questionnaire were females which is who
the website is target at. However, I also had the opportunity to learn what the
male audience also thought about it.
When
asked about their sexual orientation, majority of the people said that they
were straight and one responded bisexual. Everyone ticked student as an occupation.
None of them and I strongly believe that this has a big impact in the following
question: ‘How often do you shop online?’ which most of them responded Sometimes.
The clothes at House of CB can be quite expensive for these students to
purchase since they have a low budget they would rather save than spend so
much. They only visited the website to look at their clothes but didn’t seem to
purchase it in the end.
In
my questionnaire, I asked the audience to give me a quick feedback about their
first impressions of the website and also if they would recommend it to anyone.
The feedbacks were all similar and very positive. They found the website ‘interesting’
and ‘eye-catching’ and 100% of them said that they would recommend it to their ‘girlfriend’
and friends.
I also received some very insightful feedback regarding
the visual aspect of the Houseofcb.com website, the audience said that their
favourite section was the home page. They really liked the page design and sort
of slideshow that is shown really big at top displaying their clothes. One person
said that they liked the gallery section where they feature their clients
wearing their clothes. And I agree that this works in effective way to connect
more with their audience and make them get more involved rather than just
seeing the models wearing their desired products.
