Unit 6 Critical Approaches : Website Questionnaire Results Analysis

I created a survey asking people to discuss their thoughts on a clothing brand website. I chose House of CB website. This was founded by Conna Walker in 2000 and its target audience are women aged 18 to 35. In this survey, I noticed that most people that showed interested in visiting the website were aged 18 and over. Nearly everyone who filled out my questionnaire were females which is who the website is target at. However, I also had the opportunity to learn what the male audience also thought about it.

When asked about their sexual orientation, majority of the people said that they were straight and one responded bisexual. Everyone ticked student as an occupation. None of them and I strongly believe that this has a big impact in the following question: ‘How often do you shop online?’ which most of them responded Sometimes. The clothes at House of CB can be quite expensive for these students to purchase since they have a low budget they would rather save than spend so much. They only visited the website to look at their clothes but didn’t seem to purchase it in the end.

In my questionnaire, I asked the audience to give me a quick feedback about their first impressions of the website and also if they would recommend it to anyone. The feedbacks were all similar and very positive. They found the website ‘interesting’ and ‘eye-catching’ and 100% of them said that they would recommend it to their ‘girlfriend’ and friends.

I also received some very insightful feedback regarding the visual aspect of the Houseofcb.com website, the audience said that their favourite section was the home page. They really liked the page design and sort of slideshow that is shown really big at top displaying their clothes. One person said that they liked the gallery section where they feature their clients wearing their clothes. And I agree that this works in effective way to connect more with their audience and make them get more involved rather than just seeing the models wearing their desired products.

Unit 6 Critical Approaches : Website Questionnaire

Unit 6 Critical Approaches - Website Analysis

I looked at the House of CB, a clothing brand website targeted at young women. The style of the website reflects the clothing style too, very formal and sophisticated. The colour scheme is chosen is white and a nude peachy colour, these make the website look very professional. The categories appear clearly at the top of the website as well as the search box, making it easier for everyone to navigate on the website.

From the primary research we see that most of the people that answered were female and most aged 18+. There are arrange of answers for their household income as some people didn’t know it so they guessed but nearly all watch talk shows. From the second part most people said they watch The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden, nearly all watch crime shows. With that the people who do watch crime shows said that they watch it sometimes. Most said yes to participating in a talk show and answered that the most important part of a talk show and a crime show are the conversations and storylines.  What we found was important that most people who took part to answer said they watch tv around 9 – 12pm and said they would like the show to be on channel 4 and some with bbc 3.
